Dolphin Excursion

Amber, my mom and I went on a Whale/dolphin watching excursion. I have gone once before in 5th grade and we didn't see anything. This was amazing. Within the first 10 minutes we spotted a Grey whale.

There were also hundreds of dolphins! They got up so close to the boat and it was fun to see them through the little glass pod they have in the bottom of the boat.

Newport Beach Vacation

We are taking a few days to get away and enjoy ourselves (or so we thought . . . ) My parents traded their time share for one in Newport Beach and invited us up for a couple days. Right before we got here Zane puked in the van. Zackery had been complaining about having to go to the bathroom so Zack and I ran in as soon as we arrived, then when we were unloading the van Zack got a whiff of Zane's puke and started puking in the parking lot. Poor Zane was down for a day and lets just say that both boys have had it coming out both ends. Plus Jeff had an assignment due Monday night and spent all day doing that. We are having lots of fun now (I will continue to post more on our adventures).

Torrey Pines State Beach

We had a couple of days in the low 70s (last week in between the rain) so we hit up the beach with the kids. It was a little breezy in the morning but it burned off and was really nice. The boys had a lot of fun playing with all the rocks that got washed up from the last storm.

Out of the mouths of Babes

Do you ever have those moments where something funny seems hilarious to you? I had this happen on Saturday and wanted to write it down so I would remember. I had taken all 3 boys and my mom to Costco. Saturdays at Costco are CRAZY! I didn't put the boys in a cart because we were only grabbing a few things (mistake - won't do that again). The boys were all over the place, playing in the display shed and hitting up all the samples (there are samples everywhere on Saturdays). So by the time we left my mom and I were drained.
I remembered I needed to run into Office Depot to buy a hole punch. Zackery wanted to come in the store but I told him to stay in the van with grandma because I was running in really quick to get a hole punch. With the sweetest and most innocent voice he asked "A whole bunch of what?" My mom and I were in tears we were laughing so hard. I was pulling into a parking spot and I couldn't even see through the tears. Such a funny kid.



Also Zander is saying all kinds of sounds now. My favorite is Daa Daa Doooooo. I love this stage. He understands everything I ask him to do (whether he chooses to listen is another story). He signs for milk occasionally when I ask him if he wants it and when he doesn't sign it he gets a huge grin on his face and giggles a little (that means yes, he does want milk). I love how he uses his whole body to express himself. He is such a ham!
