Poor Zane

The boys got eye infections this last week and it is just now clearing up. Zane's eye was so much worse than Zackery's. Zane is such a happy little guy and loves to pose for the camera, even when he isn't feeling his greatest.

He actually looks a lot better in these pictures than he did 2 days before.

*Update on Jeff: We think he had/has Mono. He took a blood test but it came back negative for mono so he is taking another one this week. We are pretty sure that is what he has. My cousin and a friend from church both had kids who had the same symptoms and when they went on a penicillin based anti-biotic they broke out in hives too. My friend's daughter also tested negative for her first mono test. Jeff's rash is 90% gone and he still has headaches and is tired. We hope he will continue to feel better.

Poor Jeff

Like Jeff hasn't had it hard enough being so sick, he now has the hives all over his body. On Friday morning he woke up and asked me if I changed our laundry detergent because he was itchy. Well that turned into hives all over his chest and back. He called the doctor and got a prescription for Predisone, a steroid. He didn't sleep at all on Friday night, so at 2 AM on Saturday morning he went to Urgent Care (visit #4 in the last week and half) and was prescribed an anti-histamine. He suffered through Saturday and then didn't sleep at all on Saturday night either. So on Sunday morning after going 52 hours without ANY sleep he called the on call doctor again to get a sleeping aide. So finally last night he did get some sleep.
This morning he went in to see our doctor and he doesn't know the cause but is sure it is an allergic reaction to something. At this point it looks like Jeff is starting to clear up around his shoulders, however it is continuing to make its way down his body. It is now on his arms and legs and even the tops of his feet. The Doctor pretty much told Jeff to wait it out and it will go away (within the next few days or week or two!). We are hoping it will be much sooner than later.

Poor Jeff!

Final Days of Summer

We had a few hot days here, into the 90's, so we took the boys to the beach. They love playing in the sand and getting sand in every possible crevice of their bodies. They are such hams. Who couldn't love these boys?

Our not so fun Date Night

Well Jeff and I had 8 whole hours with out the kids yesterday, the thing is we spent it in urgent care. Jeff has been sick for a few weeks now. He started with a sore throat and mild headache. Well a week ago he had a severe migraine, temperature of 102, violent shakes, dizziness and nausea. We spent Wednesday morning in urgent care where they gave him an IV with anti-biotics and morphine. He came home slept for 5 hours and woke up with a temp of 103.7 and his head felt like it was going to explode so we went back to urgent care Wednesday night. He started feeling a little better and lounged around the house for a few days.

Then yesterday he had a sharp stabbing pain in his sternum whenever he swallowed. He still had a headache and slight fever so we went back to urgent care and spent over 7 hours there! They gave him another IV since he was dehydrated, took a CT scan of his chest and throat and gave him more anti-biotics. The CT scan showed inflamation of his throat and swollen lymph nodes.
We were finally able to go home and have a follow up early this week with a GI doctor. Hopefully we will be able to figure this all out and Jeff will be back to normal soon.

At least we had a good sense of humor with all of this. I was bored out of mind while Jeff just laid there. He was tortured by the nurse who drew blood three different times and had to put an IV in. Then when she took off the tape she ripped all of Jeff's arm hair out by the root. I was laughing so hard I was crying. This was 7 hours in and I was hungry, tired and needed the comic relief.

Weekend in Arizona

This last weekend we drove out to Arizona to visit my sister and her family. Needless to say it was very hot!

We celebrated Jadyn's 6th Birthday at Peter Piper Pizza. The boys had a lot of fun and loved playing with their cousins.

The boys had been sick and toward the end of their colds so we decided to take them anyway. Come to find out Zane had an ear infection. Poor kid. The boys were sleeping so cute together I had to get this picture.

Chase also got blessed this weekend (the main reason we came).

Zane is Two!

Zane turned two years old yesterday and we celebrated his Birthday at my Aunt RaNae's house. We had a great time lounging by the pool.

Zane was a little shy when we brought out the cake and sang to him so Zackery helped him blow out the candles.

He enjoyed his cake too!
Zane loved opening the presents.

He got a firetruck from Grandma and Grandpa B so now he has his own and he doesn't have to fight Zackery for a turn with Zackery's.

We had a great time, thanks again Aunt RaNae for
letting us have the party at your house.
