Our not so fun Date Night

Well Jeff and I had 8 whole hours with out the kids yesterday, the thing is we spent it in urgent care. Jeff has been sick for a few weeks now. He started with a sore throat and mild headache. Well a week ago he had a severe migraine, temperature of 102, violent shakes, dizziness and nausea. We spent Wednesday morning in urgent care where they gave him an IV with anti-biotics and morphine. He came home slept for 5 hours and woke up with a temp of 103.7 and his head felt like it was going to explode so we went back to urgent care Wednesday night. He started feeling a little better and lounged around the house for a few days.

Then yesterday he had a sharp stabbing pain in his sternum whenever he swallowed. He still had a headache and slight fever so we went back to urgent care and spent over 7 hours there! They gave him another IV since he was dehydrated, took a CT scan of his chest and throat and gave him more anti-biotics. The CT scan showed inflamation of his throat and swollen lymph nodes.
We were finally able to go home and have a follow up early this week with a GI doctor. Hopefully we will be able to figure this all out and Jeff will be back to normal soon.

At least we had a good sense of humor with all of this. I was bored out of mind while Jeff just laid there. He was tortured by the nurse who drew blood three different times and had to put an IV in. Then when she took off the tape she ripped all of Jeff's arm hair out by the root. I was laughing so hard I was crying. This was 7 hours in and I was hungry, tired and needed the comic relief.

You guys are in our prayers! Hopefully they can figure out what is going on!
You're a lot better than me, I would have lost it by now! All those trips and still no answers... I'd be livid!
