I have to start by prefacing that I don't have a lot of sympathy (or any) when my boys come crying to me over something I have already warned them about. A few examples are when they step on a toy that I had repeatedly told them to pick up, or when they are crying because they were fighting and I have told them to stop. So when this happens I say something along the lines, "Maybe you should have put your toy away, guess you should listen to mommy", or "Maybe you should have stopped fighting and listened to mommy."
Well Zackery was walking to the table with his plate in hand (which was blocking his view of his feet) and he tripped on a bottle of juice on the floor that I had not put away yet. He didn't fall just stumbled a little and then he says, "Guess I shouldn't have put that there." It is so funny how our little ones record what we say and then find appropriate (or sometimes not so appropriate) times to play them back.

That's so cute! I love when they say "grown up" things casually. I miss you guys! Hope you're doing well!!
Love your new family pictures by the way!
That's totally cute! I have to watch myself because I have a habit of saying "dang it" but when I hear my 2 year old using it in her conversation it doesn't sound quite right! (:
It looks like you have had a fun summer! I lOVE your family pictures in the wheat field. They are so good.I wish I had one of those around here :-).
Ha ha ha! These little parrots provide so many hilarious memories, don't they?!
Awesome overalls. I couldn't understand my boys' obsessions with certain pieces of clothing until I recalled that we adults have the same fickle nature. I have my favorites, why can't they? Unfortunately, I can't wear my favorites two days in a row or they stink to high heaven. Wish I were a kid again with no active sweat glands! :0)
I thought for sure he was going to blame you for not putting the juice away :) I have had my own words turned on me quite a few times :P
